Ingredients:
Shell Pasta: 100-150 grams
Full cream milk: 1 litre
Condensed milk: 150-180 ml (Or as per the preference of sweetness)
Grated coconut: 1 cup
Cardamom powder: 1 pinch
Dry fruits: a handful of each
Cashew nuts
Raisins
Almonds
Preparation: Half an hour to 45 minutes. Serves 5-6 persons.
Step 1: Boil the pasta shells as per the instruction given on the packet and keep it aside. Chop/slice the dry fruits in small pieces and keep aside for later.
Step 2: Pour milk into a large saucepan and bring it to boil. Lower the flame and add condensed milk and cardamom powder and let it simmer. Keep stirring continuously with a spatula while simmering the milk to avoid spilling. After 5-10 minutes add grated coconut into the milk and keep stirring. The continuous simmering of milk will bring the cream on top, occasionally collect the layer of cream that is sticking on sides and keep mixing it with the milk. The milk will reduce after around half an hour. At this stage add the boiled pasta and stir it for some time. Once the milk becomes slightly thick and creamy turn the gas off.
Garnish it with the chopped dry fruits and let it come to the room temperature. Keep it in the fridge for a couple of hours and serve chilled.
